Shead break-ins

Two alerts since yesterday:

We have received two reports of Shed Breaks this morning that have occurred overnight. The first report was on Chester Road when the offenders were disturbed. The second report occurred on Hazel Drive where items have been stolen.

We encourage residents to bring high valued items indoors. Please check your shed security, security lights are an excellent deterrent.

If you have been a victim, have any information or CCTV that has caught any suspicious activity please contact 101.

Security Bike Marking Event

Poynton burglary

Burglary on Dunlin Close

Burglary

Burglary

Garage break-ins

Overnight 16-17th October an attempt has been made to break into a detached garage on Chester Road, Poynton. No entry was gained but damage was made to the hinges of the wooden door.

We has also been made aware of two reports of garages having been broken into on Milton Drive, Poynton. Offenders have forced their way into the garages and stolen high value items including push bikes.

At one property a BWM motorbike was stolen from the garage.

Please check your garages and outbuildings and report any criminal damage or if you have been a victim of a break in by calling Cheshire Police on 101.

If you witnessed any suspicious behaviour or activity overnight on 16-17th October please get in touch calling 101 quoting incident 116 of 17/10/17.

Theft of vehicle

Distraction theft - Queensway

The elderly victim was distracted by a male and female with Eastern European accents. The couple opened up a map and asked the victim for directions to Manchester. Whilst distracted the victim has had their bank cards removed from their bag.

Please be vigilant and make any elderly friends or relatives aware.

Please always cover your PIN number when making any transactions at Supermarkets or ATMs.

Always know where your cash and cards are and keep them close to your person in a zipped bag or pocket.

If you witness anyone acting suspiciously please call 101 or 999 if you believe that a crime is happening or about to happen.

Burglary and shed break-in

On the same night a shed was broken into on Shrigley Road North but it is believed no items were taken. Please take this opportunity to review your own security measures and check your outbuildings. If your outbuilding has been broken into or damaged please report it to us on our non emergency number 101. Please remain vigilant and f you have any information about this incident please quote incident 341 of 24/10/17.
