Why do they ask for information a month or more after the event?

Poynton Petty Theft - Bird Estate

Postby mmtfb » Tue Feb 23, 2016 9:43 am

I had a pair of trail running shoes stolen from outside the front door of my house on the Bird Estate recently. They were muddy and wet - so it's surprising that anyone would be interested in them! I've left training shoes outside my door hundreds of times without any past issues. Anyone else experiencing petty thefts on the Bird Estate or Poynton area generally?

Never experienced any theft on Bird Estate in 8 years! And wet smelly shoes? No. Did once find a pair of boots in my recycling bin but not before the binmen had stuck a big piece of tape over the bin to advise me that they were unsuitable for recycling!
