Thefts from motor vehicles

Postby nedsram » Tue Dec 01, 2015 6:10 pm

Lisa Furmanek (Police, PCSO, Macclesfield LPU North & Poynton PCSO) wrote:Dear Residents,

Please be aware that we have received a number of reports of thefts from motor vehicles across Poynton, overnight 29th November 2015 - 30th November 2015. It is believed that these vehicles may have been left insecure.

Please ensure that your vehicles are locked overnight, make sure that you check the door handle of your vehicle to ensure that your vehicle is fully secure, and please ensure that all valuables are removed.

If you are buying or delivering Christmas presents, please keep them in the boot out of view and remove them once you are home.

If you have CCTV or witness anyone acting suspiciously please call us on 101. These offenders are opportunists and will most likely walk down a road and try car door handles looking for insecurities. Please keep your vehicle locked so that you do not become a victim of this crime.

Regards
