We will be making our feeling known to the RBS for what its worth , when this bank was in difficulty they would have given anything to increase their customer base in fact they did they tempted new customers in with a one hundred pound bribe to any one who opened a new account .
It seems loyalty is only a one way street these days, profit before people  72% of the RBS is still owned by the very people who saved their B/sides the tax payer .

We understand that the world is changing and internet banking is now becoming the way people manage their affairs BUT to close the one and only Bank in Poynton is disgusting, in fact they have actually closed two banks if you include the Nat West.

Can you tell We are annoyed

RBS say that their customers can use NatWest banks so why not close Hazel Grove RBS as they also have a NatWest ? When our Nat West closed we were directed to Macclesfield not RBS.

When I heard the whisper last November that RBS were to close in Poynton I asked why and I was told that the closure had nothing to do with the volume of business that the bank did in Poynton. It was due to amount of property that they owned, this had to be reduced. I believe that is why the Nat West was also closed.

When Poynton was a village we had 2 petrol stations and at least 3 banks. What do we have now we are a town? Less and less.

5. At one time we had Williams and Glyn (now RBS), Barclays, Midland, NatWest and TSB. Plus Cheshire and Vernon Building societies and a Halifax agency.

I wonder how many other towns do not have a bank? I think this is scandalous.

How do people who don't drive get to RSB in Hazel Grove and how long does it take to get to the Macclesfield RSB on the very infrequent bus service?

I know on-line banking is supposed to be the future but people in Poynton will be stuffing money under their mattresses again before long.
