Housing Development

Have received notification of planning application for 4 detached houses to be built on Park Lane, Application Number 17/1676M. How on earth is the bridge over the brook going to cope with lorries delivering the materials required to build 4 houses. Also what about the pupils going to and from school, extra traffic etc need I go on......?

Take it you haven't looked at the recent planning app?? Outline & foundation approval given 10yrs ago

This is EXACTLY the sort of development Poyntons residents seem to be crying out for "brownfield first" ?
Sustainable as the 'new' residents will be in a central location close to schools and amenities ideal to walk to most places couldn't ask for more?
Should be nodded through?
And I bet the houses have more parking allocation than the residents of the terraced houses cluttering Park Lane up with their cars.

It's on the south side of Park Lane, about 100 yards east of School Lane (across the stream).

Firefly is right. This is a narrow passage off a congested part of Park Lane and well used by pedestrians walking from the tree estate, including at to/from school times and lunch times. The width makes it quite a close squeeze between vehicles and pedestrians. Not sure who actually owns the passage that has a right of way. How long is outline planning permission active without renewal? As long as ten years or has it been renewed periodically? Knowing the plot I doubt there would be much room for generous parking spaces and it could be assumed that two cars per house might be parking?

Always ready for an education. I have only lived on the estate since 1974 which was built by Wimpey, mostly around the mid 60s - mine in 64. Fifty years ago and how many of those who live round here still call it that? Yes I noted the spacial plans and I walk past the site most days. Also noted the hedge clearances and some survey work going on. The boundaries of the access road and presumably ownership are different on different plans. Firefly is still right and I also look forward to trucks getting to (and from) the site.
