Having looked at the second planning application (under the heading Consultee and Neighbours) our address and many others are listed as having being notified. Presumably these are the addresses of people who objected to the first application. We certainly haven't been notified as yet! The last date for submitting comments and objections on this second application is 25th October 2017. We have submitted ours today, hopefully all those who objected in the first instance will do so again and many others who regularly read this forum.

I will post this information on Poynton News and Gossip Facebook page also to reach as many Poynton residents as possible.

I consider it to be a sensible and needed development.

Fair comment but not on the proposed site for numerous reasons.

Sensible? When entry and exit to the site are on the southbound side of the dual carriageway? Traffic coming north from the village will have to u-turn at the Glastonbury Drive gap, and traffic exiting the site to go north will have to u-turn round the end of the dual carriageway. Lots of potential for incidents and accidents there.

I've attached the proposed layout, taken from the CEC planning portal. It includes 5 vehicle bays.

To all those who objected to the first application, don't think because you objected last time they will take it into consideration. It suddenly gets passed with the reason - there weren't many objections this time!

Wow! :clap
Unfortunately it’s called Poynton pool, not Prestbury pool.

Dear Desmo Man,

Are you genuinely not concerned about the safety of your fellow poytnoians with regards the serious issues thatthe entrance and exit to the site will cause on the roads?

Are you truly not bothered that it is totally out of character with local surroundings and will spoil the look and feel of Poynton Pool? Are you ok with walking by the pool seeing an eye-sore of a concrete/metal construction, loud music playing and smells of exhaust, oil, welding etc wafting over where everyone is trying to enjoy a walk/jog/general leisure time etc?

Are you happy that they have specified that "run off to local pond" is one of their waste management options?

Or are you just a WUM, enjoying upsetting and irritating your fellows who have genuine and serious concerns about this development? If your intention was just to wind up then you should be ashamed. If you are not bothered by all of the negative impacts to Poynton that this development will bring then you should be ashamed......Your choice.
