It depends who's on the till.

At least the parking enforcement officers are around now. I saw one on Park Lane on Thursday morning.

I see that they have imposed a two hour limit during the day on the parking bays on London Road. Hopefully that will stop people parking there all day, and free up space for shoppers. It remains to be seen whether the limit will be enforced though.

Well it isn’t working despite wardens being around!!! The same vans/cars are in the same places all day, every day

Lets hope they also 'have a polite word' with all those people who park the whole car on the grass verge or pavement ... no longer just a tyre or 2 ... partiularly on clifford rd .... & park lane. they must think shared space means park where you like!

I cant believe how many dirvers do this now - our roads are perfectly wide enough for 2 cars to pass if people park properly.

Do we still have the Traffic Wardens? There still seems to be lots of cars parking on Queensway and Park Lane seems a free for all! If you dare to walk past Greggs at bacon butty time you risk being knocked down and that’s staying on the pavement! Queensway estate isn’t much better, with cars being parked so far on the pavement that pedestrians have to walk in the road to get past them.

I heard somewhere that a Parking enforcement officer has to observe the illegally parked vehicle for five / ten minuets before they can issue a ticket.

I think that is true.
