Borehole water

Postby topgunhorse » Fri Jul 20, 2018 9:46 pm

I'm sure we have all read the letter regarding the mixing of our water supply with that from Adlington borehole due to the current dry spell.
Does anyone else have concerns with the contents of this document I found on-line?

Judging by the dates, it seems likely that the required work has been completed. They do say in the letter that there will be no discoloration of the water. I did think that comment, plus the question "will it make me ill", rather odd, but perhaps not in the light of the document you unearthed!

We have had water from that bore hole before, and the main difference is that it's quite hard.

It don't think that "seems" likely is good enough. No sign of the required responses from UU required by the enforcement notice. I also found the question rather odd and now wonder what they are trying to cover up.

Not only was the water very hard but it had a strong taste of chlorine.

Please see the discussion on Poynton Forum regarding the burial site which is close-by.
I believe this is a public health issue.

I agree, until any facts are known this thread should be put to rest .
