Woodford Road

Postby nedsram » Thu Oct 04, 2018 4:36 pm

The water main they were supposed to have repaired (and which seemed OK at 2 pm) has now burst again and the road is flooded!

Information from one of the engineers was that this particular pipe has not been used under pressure for the last 3 years, Now they have put the water in, problems have arisen.
It will have nothing to do with the 50 plus 32tonne wagons a day which were using this road which has a 7.5 tonne limit for a couple of months last year of course

It's supposed to be closed again... only it isn't. Just been along it and someone has moved the cones so that you can go straight through but the signs at both ends say "access only". What a load of rubbish

That is because the repair has to cure. The people who pass the signs because they don’t apply to them can cause further problems. Hence one of the reasons Woodford Road is constantly being closed.

It really causes problems for kids who rely on the 391 service, (boarding at the station), to get to school in Stockport. Anyone know what the alternative is when Woodford Road is closed?
