Aerial fitters?
Any recommendations please, preferably locally based rather than something anonymous from the small ads? The actual metal post strapped to a side chimney which our aerials have been clamped to has finally corroded. It has been there for at least 45 years. They do not make them like that used to seems to be the right comment!

Re: Aerial fitters?
A lot of aerials fail because the main upright rusts away from the inside. My 45 year-old aerial still in situ 'cos I stopped rain getting in at the top by putting a short piece of copper pipe over it which I flattened at the top. So there! R

In this case it was the galvanised strapping of the mast around the chimney stack which corroded and snapped but that is not the point of my enquiry.
