There are loads of great walks around Poynton. We should encourage more knowledge of them by contributing to the Slow Ways Project - https://slowways.uk/
Slow Ways is a project to create a network of walking routes that connect all of Great Britain’s towns and cities as well as thousands of villages.
Using existing footpaths, people will be able to use the Slow Ways to walk between neighbouring settlements or combine routes for long distance journeys. A great piece on the BBC - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54562137

Re: Slow Ways
When they were surveying the use of the footpaths crossing the planned route of the A555 there was a survey done for a fortnight. During that time there was one person logged. That was me. Now the footpaths have as much traffic as the M6.
