Wetherspoons

Postby gavin » Thu Dec 24, 2020 4:35 pm

Why have they closed their car park so now everyone parks in the Queensway car park which is meant for the shops? Finding a space in there has become a lottery!

However, now that we have been discarded into tier 3 I imagine that will change but frankly I would prefer to be in tier 2 and take my chance with the lottery mentioned above. But why close the car park??

Probably because of the gazebos / extra outdoor seating. Would be a bit dangerous having cars squeezing past the "Drink Walkers" .

Car park was closed, like the Farmers & other places to create outdoor safe space for drinking with(mainly without) substantial meals, also in light of the previous regs no need to travel far to hospitality as that would be against the law(unless you came from HG, Bramhall, Cheadle, Salford & were fined in Poynton last Sat!!!!!!!!!!)

What form did that take? Were they using ANPR?

Wetherspoons getting ready for outside service..
Are they still restricted to 10pm outdoors? (the council noise restriction not previous covid restriction)

Excessive Light pollution: Could have done with some down lighters /shades on them garden tables. I can barely see the on-coming traffic.

Extra: 394 venues opening 9am to 9pm (10pm Fri Sat)
Surprised to see the Wilfred Wood on the list. I wasn't aware of any (or much) outdoor seating.

Plenty of outdoor seating at the back of The Wood.
