Received NHS letter for elderly Rel. : Vaccination appointment booking.
Having seen on the news; Elderly people driving 40 miles and waiting 3 hour for the jab. I thought I'd log in to see the options:
Distance as the crow flies.
6.1 Miles Andrews Pharmacy Vaccination Clinic
71 Kennedy Avenue Macclesfield Cheshire SK10 3DE
10.9 Miles Manchester Sportcity
Sportcity Gate 2, Alan Turing Way, Manchester M11 3BS
26.7 Miles Appleton Village Pharmacy
Appleton Village Widnes Cheshire WA8 6EQ
27.6 Miles Boots Halifax Vaccination Centre- Market Street
Boots The Chemists, 7-11 Market Street, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 1PB
51.5 Miles Woodside Pharmacy
Park Lane Centre Park Lane Woodside Telford TF7 5QZ
60.2 Miles Millennium Point
Curzon St Birmingham B4 7XG
Would have thought they could do better for Poynton residents than Macclesfied, Upton Priory housing estate.
Maybe nearer locations will come on line as it does say: "If the locations are not suitable, please try again tomorrow".
That's optimistic..

Re: Virus Vaccination Rollout
The injections for those registered with Priorslegh will be completed at The Civic Hall. This will probably include those with other practices.

Stop trying to stir up panic "AnotherWhingerLike_U"
It's people reading these sort of comments that causes them to panic, hence they start 'phoning the Doctors' Surgeries, who can well do without it. Just wait until you are notified and then take the necessary action, that's trusting you are going to have the vaccine. Stop being impatient, it gets you nowhere.

Well, they have added more to the list. Today there are now 30 drop in vaccine centres listed within 57 miles but no nearer ones to Poynton than Macclesfield.
By all means, take your lock-down frustrations out on this post. It's all good therapy for you.

Re: Virus Vaccination Rollout
I had my "Jab" on Tuesday morning at Poynton Civic hall. Everybody was very nice and the whole operation was very efficient.
