Great Get Together at Poynton High

Dementia Friendly Poynton

Attached is information about "Poynton – A Dementia Friendly Town", a key project for the PACP.

The Poynton Town Mayor is Cllr Sarah-Jane Gilmore. Her chosen good cause for the current Civic Year is Living Well, a volunteer-led group for people living with dementia and their carers. The group meet at St George’s Church every other Tuesday. The Mayor is keen to support other local dementia groups and raise awareness of dementia and services in Poynton.

The free awareness sessions are open to anyone working or living in Poynton. The sessions will be at Poynton Civic Hall on these dates:

Saturday 9th September, 10am – 11am
Saturday 16th September, 10am – 11am
Thursday 14th September, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Thursday 21st September, 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Aqua relax (Poynton)

Attached is information from Everybody Sport and Recreation about the upcoming Aqua Relax classes at Poynton Leisure Centre. These are pool sessions for people with specified medical conditions, and take place on Wednesdays from 10.30 to 11.30, starting on October 4th.
