2011

Postby Adora » Mon Jan 03, 2011 8:48 pm

Happy New Year, Grovers! :D

I only heard three sirens on NYE - 2 were within minutes of midnight and the third was much later at half one to two o'clock. I guess that means it was a quiet night on the Grove? :clap

I saw hundreds and hundreds of Chinese lanterns, most of which seemed to come straight over the roof of my 'ouse! :o I checked the fire alarms before finally turning in!

I hope everyone who reads and / or contributes to this forum has a peaceful 2011 - the financial squeeze is on , so my top tip for this year is.....get out to them there hills and enjoy the FREE countryside around us! :)

And a Happy New Year to you and yours.
You are right about fresh air being free, Lyme Park last Tuesday with boys and dog was bracing to say the least.

Meant to do this before, but didn't get round to it. Like my old English teacher used to say, "procrastination is the thief of time .... " :geek:

A special prize if you know how to pronounce "fy". As you can see I'm an avid student of Welsh pronunciation. :)

Hmm, well the fact that you've set it as a challenge Ned probably means it's not "fee" of "feye".....so is it something wild like "flaminnorawelostatrugbyagain"?
