Well obviously I pressed the wrong key - but believe me, this hazel Grove picture was taken in a very short time slot (and I don't mean a sixtieth of a second) so I'm making it 'freedom of information!!!
Try again............all will be revealed (eventually)

I'm defeated by this one, but Adora, I wasn't aware that there was a bank of trees near Asda. :D

The most likely location would be near Norbury Brook, but I'm not aware of any excavations like this there. Rafiki, this is definitely within the Hazel Grove border?

If these photos are old, maybe they excavated something interesting when they put in the water pipeline that goes under Norbury Brook and the A6 at Simpson's corner. But that's a very long shot.

Yes Nedsram. Correct. (not just a pretty face, obviously)
Taken in 1991, Norbury corn mill excavation.
I haven't got time to give more details as I'm off to Scotland in less than an hour but if there is a request for more info and photographs I'll oblige when home again..-All I will say is that the excavation was short-lived and was very hushed up!!!

:o and now you've boogied off up to Scotland, leaving that little cliff-hanger for us to chew over! WHY? (Obviously, I don't mean why are you going to Scotland!). Why was it hushed up?

Damn you and your holidays R!
