Invasive non-native plant species

Postby nedsram » Thu Jul 03, 2014 10:55 pm

Things like Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed. (Himalayan Balsam is rife in the local area.) The planttracker web site allows you to submit reports of where you have seen them, with pictures. Apps are available for iPhone and Android, so you can do this while out walking or whatever.

The BEACON project has been set up with the aim of eliminating these species from the Bollin catchment area. Volunteers are always welcome. Contact sally.potts@nationaltrust.org.uk
